Short version: we collect what the service needs to run, we send you only mail about your own site, and we do not sell or share your details with anyone.

Who we are

finds.events is operated from Seattle, Washington, USA. For anything on this page, write to hello@finds.events.

What we collect

• Your account. An email address and a password, held in Amazon Cognito. The email address identifies your account and is where service mail goes.
• Your city configuration. The city name, its timezone and map centre, and the list of event sources your calendar draws from.
• Event data. Events published on public websites by venues and organisations in your city. This is public information, republished.
• Visitor counts on published calendars. We aggregate the web server's own access logs into page counts. There are no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts and no cookies used for tracking on a published calendar.
• Mail you send us. If you write to hello@finds.events, that message is forwarded to our inbox. A copy is stored for 30 days and then deleted automatically.

Email we send you

We send transactional email only — mail about your own account and your own site. Today that is a sign-in invitation, a note when your calendar first goes live, and warnings that affect your site's availability. We do not send marketing email, and we do not add anyone to a mailing list.

Every recipient is the owner of an account they created. We do not buy, rent, scrape or import recipient lists.

If a message to you bounces, or you mark one as spam, your address is suppressed automatically and we stop sending to it. To stop all mail, write to hello@finds.events and we will close your account and remove your address. Any future summary email will carry a one-click unsubscribe link.

Who else sees it

We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising. The service runs on Amazon Web Services, which stores and processes this data on our behalf. Your published calendar is public by design — that is the product.

How long we keep it

Account and city configuration are kept while your account is open. Mail sent to our contact address is deleted after 30 days. Ask us to close your account and we delete your account record and stop publishing your calendar.

Your choices

Write to hello@finds.events to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We answer these ourselves — there is no form.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the service before it takes effect.
